Smethwick Photographic Society run an International Exhibition of Photography each year, and this year was the 40th time they had held the exhibition. Smethwick is regarded by many as being the most prestigeous of the home counties international exhibitions.
The exhibition consists of a three print and three digitally projected sections, and will run from 3rd January to 11th January 2015 at The Old School House, Churchbridge, Oldbury, west Midlands B69 2AS

I received notification that I had 15 images accepted into the exhibition with 3 of the images winning awards about a week ago.
Manhattan Smooch was awarded a Photographic Society of America Gold Medal, Maid Katelyn was awarded a Photographic Society of America Ribbon, and The Look of intent was awarded a SPS judges medal by Hunter Kennedy ARPS EFIAP MPAGB.

Yesterday I was told that I had won The FIAP Blue Badge and awarded 'Best Author in Exhibition' award. The award is made to the photographer that has the highest number of of work accepted into the exhibition.
This is the third Best Author award I have received in International Exhibitions in as many weeks. With many thousands of entries from photographers worldwide being entered into these exhibitions, it really is an award I am privileged and honoured to receive.
The other 2 Best Author awards I received were at Wrekin International Photography Exhibition, and The Photographic Society of Sri Lanka International Photography Exhibtion.
